“Jag fotograferade den första skylten i Budapest 2008 och sedan dess har jag fortsatt att samla på tomma skyltar. Mitt i stadskärnan, högt upp på byggnaderna reser sig dessa väldiga skelett, inte sällan flera våningar höga, likt grafiska tecken mot skyn. Budskapen; ordet och bilderna, är borta, det som nu finns kvar är istället efter-ordet, efter-bilden.”
“I photographed my first signboard in Budapest in 2008 and I have been collecting empty sign structures ever since. Right in the heart of the city, at the very top of the buildings, these enormous skeletons, not in frequently several storeys high, rise up like graphic markers against the sky. The message, the word and images, have gone, and what remains in their place is the after-word, the after-image.”
